Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9

As you know we are living in a crisis here in Manaus. As a nurse I have many friends who are at the hospitals trying to save lives. Yesterday Justice and Mercy sent me a list of medications they need: hand sanitizer, masks and gloves. There’s no food in some hospitals, but thanks be to God, people here are moving and cooking for the hospitals. They are delivering food to the doctors and the nurses.Yesterday we went to a pediatric hospital and they were so happy to have us there sharing food and love. But they also need our prayers. Some of them are wearing two or three masks and we discovered that now even some children are dying.

Today Justice and Mercy’s staff are coming to my house to get medicine. I still have some in my house because people continue calling us (the Brazilan Staff of AO). Even with all the sadness it is good to be known as Christ’s helpers. We know God will provide everything needed. On days when I want to give up, by the grace of God He continues telling me to be strong and courageous.

We love you and know that you are praying for us!

In the Hope of Christ,
Lia
